With 9 eighteen hole golf courses and 2 nine hole golf courses all within a short distance of each other, and each offering a wide variety of golfing challenges, the South Coast really does stand out as a great golfing destination and all within close proximity of the caravan park. The Bazley Golf day is a favourite amongst our guests, and one of the biggest reasons for this is the quality of nearby courses we use. Umdoni Golf Course

Umdoni Park Golf Club, one of the hidden treasures of the South Coast, boasts breath-taking sea vies from 70% of the golf course and is situated in 200 hectares of indigenous coastal forest. The par 5 eighteenth and par 3 sixteenth holes are both elevated tees, which makes the length judgment critical

Selborne Golf Course

Selborne Hotel, Spa and Country Club, a spectacular golf and country estate, is rated as one of South Africa’s premier golfing estates and is only a 40-minute drive from Durban. Dennis Barker, the owner of the former jersey and cattle stud and dairy farm, transformed the 80 hectares into a magnificent golf estate. The par 5 third hole will challenge any golfer’s accuracy, with the third par 3 twelfth hole being a short but very narrow green.

Scottburgh Golf Course

Scottburgh Golf Club course has a beautiful setting, with the Indian Ocean as a backdrop. It is maintained to the highest standard.  It stretches out over 5323 meters and offers two par 5’s, and five par 3 holes. The par 4 third holes can produce drama and challenges every golfer’s ability.

Port Shepstone Country Club

Port Shepstone Country Club was established in 1915. This course is situated alongside the uMzimkulu River, with an abundance of birds, monkeys and other wildlife. The first nine holes are situated in lush forest and the second nine holes have a distinct links feel about it. Major new developments have recently added new larger greens, dams, bridges and new bunkers to the magnificent course.

Umkomaas Country Club

Umkomaas Golf Club is the first course on the Golf Coast and is home to pro golfer Tim Clark, one of South Africa’s best, who is currently playing on the European and USA PGA circuit tours.

This course offers forests of lovely old indigenous trees and many well-styled bunkers that make it more challenging. The par 4 third holes is known to be the most exciting stroke hole in Kwa Zulu Natal.

San Lameer Country Club

San Lameer Country Club covers an area of 163 hectares and lies within a large nature conservation area with lush sub–tropical vegetation. This magnificent course will ensure the golfer a golfing experience to remember. This golf course was designed by Peter Matkovich and Dale Hayes who made sure the course would test the mental and playing ability of all golfers including those of higher handicap. This course has many beautiful water features and is always finely manicured. The Mondazur Hotel and Resort is part of the San Lameer estate and maintains the highest standards, ensuring visitors have a memorable stay.

Wild Coast Country Club

Wild Coast Sun Country Club is part of the famous Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino, situated on the border of Kwa Zulu Natal and the old Transkei alongside the uMtamvuna River, which offer boat cruises and water sports.

This spectacular course is rated as one of SA’s top 20 and is part of South Africa’s Sunshine Tour as well as being utilized in international tournaments. The course has been designed to make most of the spectacular natural setting on the unspoilt stretch of coast. Every green has its own beauty and is challenging, especially the par 3 thirteenth hole where a driver is sometimes required when teeing off over the natural ravine and waterfall into the prevailing southwest wind. Golf Carts are compulsory. This course is definitely a must and bookings are essential.
